Kath Schifano paints en plein air outdoors around Western New York in all seasons, capturing landscapes and nature close up with pastels or oil paints. Her larger studio works are known for their vibrant color and energy. These works are often enlarged botanical forms including flora and vegetables or fruit.

An active painter with International Plein Air Painters & Niagara Frontier Plein Air Painters, she is an exhibiting member of the Buffalo-Niagara Artist Association, Western New York Artist Group and NF plein air painters. Her work is seen locally in juried gallery shows and has had recent solo exhibits in Buffalo and Niagara Falls. Her work is in collections in 17 states and Great Britain, Japan and Russia.
