Tara Sasiadek is a Buffalo, NY native who lives and works in the Elmwood Village. Tara has a BA in Philosophy and a BFA in Painting, both from SUNY Buffalo, as well as a Masters in Education and Human Development from the George Washington University.  

 

She teaches at the Buffalo Academy of Science, where she is the Director of Individualized Education.  Tara also serves as the Vice President of Emerging Leaders in the Arts Buffalo, and the director of the Buffalo branch of Dr Sketchy's Anti Art School.

 

Her work is always figurative, often surreal, and imbued with myths which weave in and out of the known world -brought to life by phenomena and fiction.  She combines painting, installation, and sculpture in an effort to manifest daydreams and hew out conversational space.
