I find a lot of influence for my artwork from movie and music posters from the 60's and 70's. The kind of weird compositions that were often as much fun to see as the bands and films themselves. I sometimes think that kind of artfulness is almost a lost art to the current generation.

I've worked for the past several years strictly as an advertising designer so I've had to retrain myself in a way to be spontaneously creative in my work. It is very easy to become to accustomed to a paint by numbers way of design. Working that way dulls your creativity in a way but opens you up to some good ideas once your imagination starts to run free again.
